Mohd Nazish Khan

    Biography:

  • 2003- 2007, graduated from Dr. B R Ambedkar University, India.
  • 2007- 2009, completed Master of Science Degree (Geology) from Dr. B R Ambedkar University, India.
  • 2010- 2016, obtained Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Aligarh Muslim University, India.
  • 2018- 2021, worked as Assistant Professor (Guest Faculty) in Aligarh Muslim University, India.
  • 2019- 2022, worked as Nodal Officer (Co- Principal Investigator) in a project entitled “GIS/ GPS Mapping of Waqf Properties under Qaumi Waqf Boards Taraqqiati Scheme” sanctioned by Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.
  • 2019- 2020, conducted Master of Science Entrance Examination (Remote Sensing and GIS Applications) as Deputy Coordinator.
  • 2020- 2021, completed a minor project “Geo-referencing of different administrative buildings, faculties, departments and other properties of Aligarh Muslim University using GIS technology”.
  • Working as Director of Transformation Office and joined Samarkand State University in May, 2022.

 

    Uzbekistan is one of the fastest growing economies which needs to explore and utilize geospatial domain in order to maintain its pace of growth. However, geospatial domain has found significant momentum at international scale while these technologies are gaining popularity in the Uzbek universities as well as in Central Asia.

    The Center of Applied Remote Sensing and GIS Applications (CARSGA) is a premier center for exploring geospatial domain to provide state of art education in spatial science, geo intelligence, data science and analytics and committed to conduct unsurpassed quality research.

    Center is committed to national & international cooperation in order to establish joint academic and research programs through its international partners like National Institute of Technology, Raipur, Indian Institute of technology, Mumbai etc. Center is also devoted to identified the key needs of industries and has enriched the syllabus in terms of theory and practical.

Director:

    Dr. M Nazish Khan has vast experience in the field of Remote Sensing and GIS Technology since 2010. He has started his journey of geospatial technology from Aligarh Muslim University. He has earned his PhD degree from Aligarh Muslim University in the area of remote sensing and GIS technologies in active tectonics and natural disasters.

    Before joining Samarkand State University, Dr. M Nazish Khan was working in the Interdisciplinary Department of Remote Sensing and GIS Applications, Aligarh Muslim University. He was also working on infrastructure mapping project “GIS/ GPS Mapping of Waqf Properties under Qaumi Waqf Boards Taraqqiati Scheme” since 2019. During his career, he has published many research articles in peer reviewed journals.
