Mediasia large-leaved (scientific name "Mediasia macrophylla Pimen") is a medicinal and spicy plant popular among the people due to its many healing properties. The aerial part of algor is used as an aromatic agent in the field of perfumery and as a strong appetite stimulant in medicine. Algor contains substances that treat rheumatism, fever, eczema, herpes, stomach and intestines, liver and damaged areas.

    The stem, leaves and flowers of the plant are used in folk medicine. The plant has a positive effect on the nervous system, improves the functioning of the cardiovascular system, and normalizes blood pressure. Its surface is used in the food industry, in the preparation of canned meat and fish. Tea brewed from its leaves is a pleasant medicine that uplifts the mood and refreshes the spirit. When added to food, it prevents nausea.

     The presence of a large amount of essential oil and complex lipids in the seeds, leaves and flowers of the plant allows it to be used as a source of aromatic ester in the food industry.

     Milk and dairy products with the addition of the plant Mediasia large-leaved retain their composition in a natural way for a long time. Its leaves and seeds, dried in the shade, are used to pickle vegetables. Preservation of a pleasant aroma for a long time is the main reason for the increased interest in this spice and medicinal plant.
